WORK AND PLAY ALL AT THE SATURDAY CHRISTMAS WOD

FIRST THE WORK:  9:00am We lean hard into the holiday WOD, if your feeling a little intimidated bring a buddy to help out.

THEN THE PLAY:  After the WOD we hit the buffet, no really, one with food.  Bring your best paleo compliant side dish and compete for the top prize.  (A free January).

We will be putting up our tree that day as well. The staff will take care of the lights but are counting on everyone to bring one ornament to hang on the tree. A sense of humour is welcome.

Dateline: December 07, 2009, I am standing in the doorway of a 1,000 sq. ft. box watching 5 -7 people throw themselves and weight around to the bellowing of angry looking guy. One by one the 5 -7 people collapse yelling “TIME” and begin to (laughable) cheer those still throwing themselves around. One of those individual is my son and after his “fit” he asks me what I think. What I thought was no freakin way I was doing that! Hell; that exercise or “CrossFit” I witnessed was nothing short of some mid-evil exorcism on a community scale!
Well fast forward to today, Friday, December 07, 2012 and I am beginning my 4th year of that mid-evil exorcism and really enjoy it (most times). The impact on my health and the quality of life is phenomenal. Won’t bore anyone with the numbers but the health numbers are going down and the weight (lifting not body) is going up.
Crossfit works and works very well. For the old-timer, it has been enjoyable working out with ya’ll. For the “newbies” or the sideliners: don’t stop because it hurts, it looks difficult, or someone yelled at you. If you are trying to drastically change your style of life, body composition, and / or get healthy; hurting, sacrifice, stepping out of a comfort zone, or being yelled at is a minor toll to pay for some outstanding results.
As we say at the 05:00 class; we can’t get you to the box but we can get you through the WOD.

Well said JimJim!! Now, please do bore us with the numbers. I never get tired of seeing 3 RMs increasing, Work capacity increasing, and Fran times decreasing.
