For the Fallen 12-05-2009

At 0900 we will work hard and remember those who suffered a ruthless and cowardly terrorist attack at Ft. Hood.  Among those great Americans to fall that day were four members of Lumberjack CrossFit.  tomorrow is a day to support a cause that is tending to the needs of the survivors while at the same time honoring these patriots with something they believed in and loved to do.  As an old Marine I have a new respect for the phrase “Army Strong”.

Lumberjack 20

20 Deadlifts (275lbs) /Run 400m

20 KB swings (2pood) /Run 400m

20 Overhead Squats (115lbs) /Run 400m

20 Burpees /Run 400m

20 Pullups (Chest to Bar) /Run 400m

20 Box jumps (24″) /Run 400m

20 DB Squat Cleans (45lbs each) /Run 400m

It ‘s going to be cold in the morning, so before you debate whether or not to come remember, it’s a lot colder in Afghanistan.

Good luck and God bless those all of you at Ft. Hood from Squad Silverback.

Please forward this link to anyone you think would help all those affected

Everyone gets a gold star for the day for doing this workout. Even those who helped out. Tim said there was a good turnout. Enjoy Sunday and see you next week.

What a great workout! Zach, Jim, Brad, Tim and Christina it was a pleasure. I really didn’t plan on doing this workout until I read Matt’s post last night – so glad I had a change of heart. See you guys at 5AM Monday!
