As I sit here on a mindless conf call, thought I’d be the first to chime in. Two weeks into the CFSB program. Last few days I was noticing a gradual lack of enthusiasm on my part regarding the daily wods. Ok, I’ll be more blunt — the wods were beating me down mentally. Today, I was dreading another butt-kicking metcon as I was driving to the gym. However, I found today’s program — including the wod — to be challenging, invigorating and, dare I say it, fun. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Matt – No names on the wods the last few days? It makes the training log so lifeless. Much better to record “the anti-chipper, lil evil or blitz”. I can safely say that 99.99% of the population when hearing “pumpkin pie” isn’t thinking wall balls, box jumps and kettlebells. I, on the other hand, have a different reference point.

The “beat down” entirely intentional, first the fire, then the hammer and anvil, then quench the blade and repeat that is how we forge and temper a dangerous work of art. I will have a full post on this in a few days, always remember that there is a plan and as we proceed you all’s log books will begin to resemble road maps.

As for the names, I miss em too, sometimes WOD’s speak to me, sometimes not so much. I’ll listen closer.

        Hmm. Strangely, I’m not consoled.

“Work of art”, huh? In the Crossfit gallery of fine art, I’m the Velvet Elvis.
